Ten more days and our team will be leaving for Ufa, Russia. It is amazing how fast time flies. It was over two years ago when my pastor first mentioned Ufa to me. We put it on the back burner for a time but after all that time God has brought it to the front and we are going there. To a country considered the Muslim capitol of Russia. I cannot imagine God providing a way for me to be a small part of this huge effort but I am thankful He did. Wee are all getting a little anxious about the unknowns of our trip but there is peace cause I know God has called us and according to His Word he will equip us.
Our schedule will be rigorous. We leave Selmer, TN at 5 AM March 23 and will have pretty much a 9AM to 9PM class schedule. Three sessions per day. So you can pray for our stamina.
We will return to Moscow the following Friday and have a day to sight see. We leave Saturday March 31 for USA. If all goes according to plan we will be in Nashville about 8:30PM. We will arrive home in Selmer around midnight. Will be a difficult day so pray that we will be energized and bear a strong witness for Jesus Sunday AM for worship here at LBC.
I cant express my excitement. This has been a dream for me for over 10 years. God has seen fit to all me to go to a place I have dreamed of and greatest of all I will be there with the specific purpose of sharing about His love and Grace. My biggest source of stress will be leaving my family. I have traveled many time around the US, but there has never been this kind of communication limitations. We will most likely have email but I love to talk to my wife and babies numerous time in a day so the separation will be difficult for both Mandy and me. So please pray that we will be able to lean on Jesus during this time of separation and that we will have opportunities to talk with one another.
